TDAC before you fly: the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card checklist

Since 1 May 2025, every non-Thai national entering Thailand by air, land or sea must file a Thailand Digital Arrival Card. It is free and takes about 5 minutes.

Rules from the Immigration Bureau TDAC FAQ. Checked 29 October 2026.

The rules

  • Who: every non-Thai national, including children and infants, and visa-exempt travellers.
  • When: within 3 days before arrival, counting the arrival day.
  • Where: only the Immigration Bureau site, tdac.immigration.go.th.
  • Cost: free. Sites that charge a fee are not official.
  • Once per entry: a TDAC is single use. File a new one for every trip into Thailand.

Have these ready

  • Passport details
  • Flight number and arrival date
  • Your first address in Thailand, such as the hotel name
  • Travel purpose and a short health declaration
  • An email address to receive the TDAC

Good to know

  • Transit only: if you do not pass immigration, you do not need one.
  • Plans changed: you can update or resubmit before you enter. The latest entry counts.
  • No reminders: the system does not email you before your trip, so set your own.
  • Not a visa: the TDAC does not change visa or visa exemption rules. Check those separately.
