Bangkok food guide
Bangkok food is known for rail-fed stalls and a late Chinatown walk. It fits first-trip eaters who will pick one serious queue and one market, not three celebrity woks.

Eat Bangkok by rail and by clock. Lunch is shophouses and boat-noodle alleys. Night is Yaowarat from MRT Wat Mangkon or Banthat Thong from MRT Sam Yan. A 2026 street plate is often 60 to 150 THB. Jay Fai on Maha Chai is the one-star exception that still cooks like a street wok and will take your evening.
Do not stack Jay Fai, Chatuchak, and Texas Lane on the same calendar. One serious queue and one market is enough. For the stall map use Bangkok street food. For the gold-shop night use Yaowarat.
