A Chao Phraya pier hotel fits a long-haul stopover that wants boats more than the Sukhumvit grid. Book riverside stays, walk Rattanakosin at 08:30, and use the 5 THB Tha Tien ferry for Wat Arun at 200 THB after Grand Palace 500 THB and Wat Pho 300 THB. Dinner at the hotel pier or Wang Lang.

Day 2 is Talat Noi and Charoenkrung lanes, then one river dinner. Use the tourist boat between named piers. Day 3 is a short getting around buffer or an Airport Rail Link hop. A 2026 BTS tap is 17 to 62 THB if you cross to Sukhumvit. Stay notes sit on where to stay. For markets and a roof instead, use the food and rooftops loop.

Do you need the BTS from a river hotel?
Not on day 1. Use boats and a short walk. The BTS (17 to 62 THB) is for a Siam or Sukhumvit hour.
Ferry or tourist boat to Wat Arun?
The Tha Tien crossing is 5 THB and the short hop. The tourist boat is for named-pier sightseeing.
Same as the food-and-rooftops page?
No. This one sleeps on the river. The food page sleeps on the BTS and closes with Octave.
