Khao Lak day trips

Khao Lak day trips are known for Similan granite and a long speedboat, and they fit the 15 October to 15 May park window. Stay in Khao Lak, not Patong.

The spare day from Khao Lak is Similan and Surin, and boats leave Thap Lamu. The park opens 15 October to 15 May and closes 16 May to 14 October, and Foreign park fees have sat in the 500 THB range; confirm on the e-ticket. Phuket pickups add a long pre-dawn road.

Sleep on the Bang Niang strip the night before a 06:00 call, and HKT is still 70 to 90 minutes south on Highway 4. Do not combine a Samui idea on the same calendar, and andaman November to April is the sand backup if the swell cancels.
