Where to stay in Pai

Pai is known for a short walking-street grid after the 762 bends on Route 1095, so sleep in town for dinner or across the river if you want quiet. Plan two nights so the long drive from Chiang Mai is worth it.

Book Pai after you accept Route 1095, and the licensed van from Chiang Mai covers about 135 km in 3 to 4.5 hours and 762 bends. Sleep in town if Walking Street and a canyon songthaew are the stay, and sleep across the river if speakers until midnight are not the trip. Weekend vans fill the soi; weekdays are quieter.

There is no scheduled Pai airport. Start from CNX and lock the first two nights on Trip.com before you pick a canyon tour. Pair this page with Chiang Mai to Pai for Arcade counters and walk-up fares around 210 to 250 THB.
