Bang Tao and Laguna
Bang Tao is known for a long north-west beach and the Laguna golf grid, and it fits a quieter stay than Patong. Sleep here if space matters more than a village walk.
Back to Phuket
Bang Tao sits north of Kamala and Surin, and the beach is long. Laguna is the canal and golf pocket behind the sand, and Amanpuri and Trisara sit on nearby headlands if the villa is the week. Beach-club nights live on Kamala and Bang Tao clubs.
HKT is often 25 to 50 minutes, and the Smart Bus is 100 THB. You will want a car or Grab for dinner off the resort road, and first-timers who want a walkable village should still open Kata.
Beach, lagoon, cliff
- Bang Tao sand: Families and a longer walk. Clubs at the north end.
- Laguna: Golf, canals, larger rooms. Not a village street.
- Headlands: Amanpuri and Trisara if the gate is the stay.

- Bang Tao or Kata for a first stay?
- Kata if you want a village walk. Bang Tao if you want a longer sand and accept a car for dinner.
- Is Laguna on the beach?
- Some rooms are. Many sit on the canals. Read the map pin, not the area name.
