Ari neighbourhood food
Ari runs on Soi Ari, a shady lane off BTS Ari where shophouses ladle khao soi and pad kra pao at lunch and the cafes take over once the rush thins. It is Bangkok's easy weekday neighbourhood meal, built for a long lunch rather than a market crawl.

Soi Ari is Phahonyothin Soi 7, the lane at BTS Ari. Lunch is khao soi, pad kra pao, and noodle shops in shophouses. A Thai plate is often 60 to 150 THB. The same soi is full of cafes after the lunch rush.
This is not a named night market. Eat one shophouse lunch, then a drink. For the pour-over map use the coffee guide. For a real night stall row, ride to Soi 38.
What to order
- One rice or noodle plate at the first shophouse with a Thai menu and a queue of office workers.
- Coffee second, not instead of lunch. Cafe food is the dearer plate.
- Say the heat if you order a curry or a basil wok. Office kitchens still cook Thai hot.
