Getting around Hua Hin
Hua Hin is known for a station you can walk from, so stay in town if the train is late and use Grab for Khao Takiab. The southern line is about four hours from Bangkok.

Take the southern train from Bangkok to Hua Hin, and plan about four hours. Minivans from Ekkamai work and then dump you in weekend traffic, and the town centre is walkable: station, night market, pier. Khao Takiab is a Grab, often 80 to 180 THB.
Hua Hin Airport is not a useful Bangkok substitute, and do not rent a scooter on the beach road on night one. Pair this page with where to stay so the station walk matches the pin, and Pattaya is a different gulf and a different bus.
