Where to stay in Hua Hin

Hua Hin is known for a walkable train town on the upper Gulf, so sleep in town for the market or toward Khao Takiab for longer sand. It stays quieter than Pattaya even on a Bangkok weekend.

CrowdBangkok weekend peak; quieter than Pattaya

Hua Hin is a mainland Gulf resort, not Pattaya, and sleep near the night market if the southern train is late. Sleep toward Khao Takiab if Cicada on Friday to Sunday is the evening, and a 2026 Grab between town and the hill is often 80 to 180 THB.

The southern train from Bangkok takes about four hours, and Hua Hin Airport is not a useful Bangkok substitute. Book two nights on Trip.com before a Thai long weekend, and pair this page with getting around for station walks.
