Hua Hin top attractions

Hua Hin attractions are known for a market night and a limestone hill rather than a lagoon, and they fit a train weekend. Stay in town, and treat Sam Roi Yot as the inland add-on.

Start with the in-town night market and a pier walk, and Khao Takiab is the hill and the weekend Cicada Market (Friday to Sunday, 16:00 to 23:00). The beach is shallow and can turn murky after rain, and this is quieter than Pattaya on a weekday and still a Bangkok weekend town.

Add Sam Roi Yot and Phraya Nakhon on a second day, not after a four-hour southern train the same afternoon, and sleep in Hua Hin. A 2026 Grab to the hill is often 80 to 180 THB, and see Bangkok if you still need a city night first.

Common questions

Is the beach the main sight?
It is a walk and a swim on a calm day. The market and the hill do more work than the water colour.
Cicada every night?
No. Friday to Sunday, 16:00 to 23:00. The in-town market runs daily.
