10 days in Thailand: first-timer Gulf itinerary
Fly BKK to USM after the palace morning, sleep Bophut or Chaweng, and take one 300 THB Ang Thong day if the park is open. Skip Phuket on this spine.
Bangkok and Koh Samui make the first Gulf island week. Land at Suvarnabhumi, sleep Sukhumvit, and fly the premium hop into Samui Airport so landing day stays boat-free. January to September is the sea that works; Phuket is the wrong add.
Give the Grand Palace and river wats their own morning (BTS 17 to 62 THB). Fly Bangkok to Koh Samui. Samui Airport is a premium ticket. Sleep six nights using Samui where to stay: Chaweng, Lamai, or Bophut. Book Ang Thong (300 THB). A Lomprayah hop to Phangan is about 30 minutes if you want one bay night, not a Full Moon default. 1 Bangkok tickets
Palace 500 THB, Wat Pho 300 THB, Wat Arun 200 THB plus 5 THB ferry.
2 Market night
Chatuchak or Or Tor Kor, then Yaowarat.
3 City buffer
Pack for USM. Jim Thompson or a Siam hour.
4 Land USM
No boat. Sleep Bophut, Choeng Mon, or Chaweng.
5 Beach and village
Bophut Fisherman Village if you sleep north. Learn Grab and songthaew fares.
6 Ang Thong day
Park fee 300 THB. No public ferry. Back before dark.
7 Second Samui coast
Swap to Lamai or a north bay if the first beach is wrong.
8 Optional Phangan day
Lomprayah about 30 minutes Bangrak or Maenam to Thong Sala. Back the same day unless you booked a bay night.
9 Buffer swim
Hotel day. Confirm the USM exit car.
10 Exit USM
Airport car. Same-day long-haul from Samui is tight.
