Chaweng, Lamai, or Bophut is enough sand for five Gulf nights if you want one island and no Phangan hop. Fly Bangkok to Koh Samui; USM often sits at 3,500 to 9,000 THB one way. A 2026 Grab to Chaweng is often 200 to 400 THB. Sleep using where to stay: Chaweng for lights, Lamai for a second beach, Bophut for a village night.
Book Ang Thong once (300 THB). Lomprayah to Phangan is about 30 minutes if you insist on a day hop, but this page keeps you on Samui. Keep Phuket off the week.
