Best time to visit Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is known for an Andaman dry window from November to April, when Saladan boats and Rok days hold. May to October still works by road and the Hua Hin pier ferry on the Krabi side, with discounts and more cancelled island boats.

Lanta follows the Andaman calendar, not the Gulf; november to April is why you came. Saladan boats from Krabi Town and Ao Nang run in that window and take about 2 to 2.5 hours. May to October those boats fail first; the car ferry from Hua Hin pier on the Krabi side (not the Hua Hin resort town) still runs.
Confirm the hotel is open before you take a green-season rate, and koh Rok and Koh Haa follow the same winter sea. If your dates are July, open when to go, and pair with Krabi season.
Month notes
- Nov to Feb: Dry, booked, the usual first Lanta week.
- Mar to Apr: Still useful. Hotter. Last reliable boat month.
- May to Oct: Road and ferry only. South resorts may be shut.

Common questions
- Can you reach Lanta in August?
- Yes, by van and the car ferry. Passenger boats are the piece that fails. Confirm the hotel is open.
- Lanta or Railay in November?
- Railay if the cliff pocket is the point. Lanta if you want a week of sand and a scooter.
