Best time to visit Pattaya
Pattaya is known for a usable gulf weekend most months, with cooler air from November to February. It fits a Bangkok gap, not an Andaman boat season.

Pattaya is a city on the east gulf, and you can land most months. November to February is cooler for Jomtien swims, and March to May is hot. Rain is short compared with the Andaman, and Songkran week is water, not a teak-hall morning at the Sanctuary.
Friday traffic from Bangkok can push the road toward 2.5 hours, and Ekkamai buses still run. A Koh Larn ferry stays 30 to 40 THB when the sea allows, and pair this page with Hua Hin only if you are choosing one gulf town, not both in one weekend.
Month notes
- Nov to Feb: Cooler sand. Book Jomtien before a long weekend.
- Mar to May: Heat. Sanctuary of Truth is an indoor morning (about 500 THB).
- Mid-April: Songkran. Sleep only if you want water, not quiet.
- Jun to Oct: Short rain. Ferries can still cancel on wind.

Common questions
- Is August a bad Pattaya month?
- It is hot and can rain. The city still works. August is a bad Andaman boat month, not a bad Ekkamai month.
- Hua Hin or Pattaya in the same season?
- Hua Hin if you want a quieter train town. Pattaya if someone already booked the east gulf.
