7 days in Bangkok and Hua Hin: kids itinerary
Keep SEA LIFE as a heat escape, then ride south to Hua Hin beach. Sleep near the sand so kids are not in a van after dinner.
Parents who want a hospital town and a short hop should use a Bangkok pool hotel, then the Southern Line (about 4 hours) to Hua Hin sand. Sleep three nights using where to stay; a Chao Phraya tourist boat beats a full palace queue if naps are short. SEA LIFE Ocean World at Siam Paragon is the indoor hour (adult tickets often 900 to 1,200 THB). A 2026 BTS tap is 17 to 62 THB. Wider notes sit on family travel.
Take the Southern Line about 4 hours (often 200 to 500 THB), or a child-seat van, to Hua Hin. Sleep three nights using Hua Hin where to stay. Night-market plates run 50 to 120 THB. A 2026 Grab to Khao Takiab is often 80 to 180 THB. Sam Roi Yot is an optional older-kid morning. Do not add Phuket on this week. File the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) via visas and TDAC.
Day by day

Private van with a listed child seat. Riverside or Siam pool hotel. No palace on landing day.

3 SEA LIFE at Siam
Indoor hour at Siam Paragon. BTS 17 to 62 THB if the kids can stand a short tap.

5 Hua Hin sand day
Shallow hotel beach. No scooter. Resort shuttle or a short Grab.
6 Hill temple or rest
Khao Takiab walk if legs allow. Ice cream and an early night.
7 Exit Hua Hin or BKK

Pool city, then a train beach
Hua Hin is a Gulf weekend town, not an Andaman substitute. For a longer family split see 10 days Chiang Mai and Hua Hin.

- Is the Grand Palace required with kids?
- No. Use a river boat and one short wat if queues and dress code will sink the morning.
- Train or van?
- The train is about 4 hours and skips a child-seat hunt. A listed van is faster door to door.
- Add an island?
- Not on seven days. Samui needs a flight and a landing day with no boat.
