Koh Phangan

Phangan is known for the Full Moon Party at Haad Rin. Book that beach only if the party is the trip. Sleep on the west or north bays for a quieter stay.

The party is one beach. The island is the bays. Thong Nai Pan, Srithanu, and the west coast are the usual first stays. The Lomprayah Samui-Thong Sala catamaran is about 30 minutes. Seatran takes about 45. Scooter roads are steep and sandy.

Koh Tao is a further ferry if diving is the point. It is not on this first spine as a must.
