Getting around Krabi

Krabi is known for airport cars and a 15-minute Railay longtail rather than a rail map. KBV to Ao Nang is 20 to 40 minutes, and taxis often run 400 to 800 THB.

There is no urban rail, and land KBV, then a priced car to Ao Nang. The hop is 20 to 40 minutes and often 400 to 800 THB, and shared longtails to Railay leave the south beach: 100 to 150 THB, about 15 minutes. After dark, book a boat or stay put.

Phi Phi boats use Klong Jilad. Koh Lanta is Saladan in season, or van plus the car ferry from Hua Hin pier on the Krabi side when boats die. May to October cancels first, and pair with where to stay and Bangkok to Krabi.

Which hop

  • KBV taxi or Trip.com car: Luggage and night landings.
  • Ao Nang longtail: Railay in daylight, 100 to 150 THB.
  • Klong Jilad: Phi Phi mornings. Not an arrival-day pier.
  • Lanta: Saladan boat November to April, road plus ferry all year.
