Railay

Railay is known for a cliff pocket with no road, so you sleep here if the rock is the stay. The Ao Nang longtail costs 100 to 150 THB and takes about 15 minutes.

ResortRayavadee is boat-only on this pocket

Railay is a limestone peninsula, and west Beach is the usual Ao Nang landing. East Beach is the other pier when swell hits, and Phra Nang cave is a walk, not a second boat. Rayavadee sits in the grove if the hotel is the week.

Shared longtails from Ao Nang are 100 to 150 THB and about 15 minutes, and after dark, prices rise and boats thin. May to October can pin you on the pocket, and do not add Phi Phi the same day you climb.

West, east, Phra Nang

  • West: Sand, bars, the usual landing.
  • East: Mangrove pier, some rooms, backup landing.
  • Phra Nang: Cave beach walk. Crowds at midday.
