Getting around Pattaya

Pattaya is known for baht buses on the beach road rather than a metro, so stay on one sand and use the Ekkamai bus for the Bangkok hop. The Koh Larn ferry from Bali Hai fits one morning.

Buses from Ekkamai are the cheap door from Bangkok, and private cars often quote 1,500 to 2,500 THB. Inside Pattaya, baht buses run the beach road if you agree the fare first, and grab covers Jomtien to Naklua when you have bags. Skip Beach Road scooter rentals unless you already ride.

The Koh Larn public ferry is 30 to 40 THB and about 45 minutes from Bali Hai. The Sanctuary of Truth is a north-cape Grab, about 500 THB at the gate. Sleep in Jomtien or Wongamat so the 22:00 hop is short.
