Koh Larn

Koh Larn is known for a cheap gulf ferry from Bali Hai, and it fits a single beach day from Pattaya if you sleep on the mainland and come back the same afternoon. Overnight only if you already know you want a night on the island.

Koh Larn is the island you can see from Pattaya, and public boats from Bali Hai run about 45 minutes and cost 30 to 40 THB. Speedboat desks cost more and sell a tighter clock, and sleep in Jomtien or Wongamat. The island is a day, not a first hotel.

Do not combine Koh Larn and the Sanctuary of Truth (about 500 THB) on the same rushed morning. Bangkok is still 1.5 to 2.5 hours behind you. Pair this page with getting around for the pier hop from Jomtien.

One island day

  • Go: Morning ferry. Keep the last-return time on a photo.
  • Sand: Tawaen and the south coves are the usual desks. Pick one.
  • Skip: A same-day Bangkok out-and-back. Sleep in Pattaya first.
