Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Phulay Bay is known as a sealed Krabi beach reserve, west of Ao Nang under the headland. You come for the limestone bay, not the village strip.

Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is a sealed Krabi beach west of Ao Nang. The published door is 111 Moo 3, Nongthalay, Mueang, Krabi 81180, +66 75 628 111. The official airport note is about 40 km from KBV. Fewer keys, a private beach, and a price that assumes you will not hunt Ao Nang nightlife.

Rayavadee is the Railay grove with no road. Phulay Bay has a road and still feels sealed. Do not book both. Pair with a Phi Phi or Hong day only in the Andaman window, and only if the marine desk agrees that morning.

Nong Thale, not the Ao Nang strip

Nong Thale (Nongthalay) is the bay west of Ao Nang, under Khao Ngon Nak. The village is thin. Dinner off-property is a decision, not a stroll of ten menus. Ao Nang beach road is a 15 to 25 minute car when the traffic is kind. Krabi Town is farther and useful only for a market or a departure.

Southwest monsoon (May to October) hits this west-facing water. Green-season rates look clever until the beach closes and the longtail cancels. If your dates are July, read the Koh Tao page instead of forcing Krabi.

Common questions

Do you need Ao Nang as well?
No. One dinner run is enough. If you want nightly choice, stay in Ao Nang and skip the Reserve.
