Phuket Airport is the correct landing, closer than a town transfer. The Andaman calendar still rules: November to April for settled water. In the southwest monsoon, this coast takes wind and rain. A boat day is a desk decision, not a prepaid sure thing.
Cherngtalay, Laguna, Bang Tao
Srisoonthorn Road is the inland spine of Cherngtalay. Laguna Phuket and Bang Tao beach clubs sit a short drive south. Catch Beach Club is at 202/88 Moo 2, Cherngtalay, on Bang Tao sand. XANA is inside Angsana Laguna at 10 Moo 4 Srisoonthorn. Those are afternoon rooms, listed on the nightlife page. They are not a reason to leave Trisara at noon unless you want a DJ.
Phuket Old Town is the Baba lunch, 50 minutes when the road is kind. Do it once. Do not string Patong Walking Street onto this stay. Amanpuri is the other west-coast pavilion product, further south toward Kamala and Surin. You do not need both in one week.

- Do you need a car?
- The resort can keep you fed. Book a driver for Old Town or a club. A scooter on Srisoonthorn after dark is a poor idea if you do not already ride.
