Koh Samui: Bophut and Lamai
Bophut is known for Fisherman's Village, a walkable north-coast promenade. Lamai is a wider, older beach town. Neither is the Chaweng club strip.
These Samui nights are Bophut's Fisherman's Village and Lamai's wider beach, not the Chaweng club strip. Pick one bay. Beach Republic sits in Maret. Nikki Beach is on Lipa Noi, a dedicated crossing already named on the island beach-club page.
January to September is the easier Gulf sea. Book a car on the ring road. Sleep near the village you will walk.
The village and the club
Fisherman's Village is Bophut's beach road. Low-rise bars, Coco Tam's on the sand, and a Friday walking street. Other nights are dinner and one drink, not a club crawl. The village is the point.
Beach Republic is the Lamai-side daybed club. 176/34 Moo 4, Tambon Maret, Koh Samui 84310. +66 77 458 100. Pool, sand, and a sunset that can run late. Book a table on weekends.
Nikki Beach sits on Lipa Noi, south-west Samui. It is not a hop from Bophut. Use the island beach-club page if that brand is the night.
North coast versus south-east
Bophut to Lamai is 25 to 40 minutes around the hills. Do one pocket a night. The airport sits between Choeng Mon and Bophut. Chaweng fills the gap with the easiest late food and the most noise.
Boats to Phangan leave from the north-east. A Full Moon is a different trip. Keep a buffer before a Samui flight. Island weather cancels small aircraft first.
