The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui
The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui is known for a private north-coast bay in Bophut. The airport is 6 km. Chaweng nightlife is a different island.
The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui sits on a private north-coast bay in Bophut, at 9/123 Moo 5, Koh Samui 84320, +66 77 915 777. Marriott puts the airport at about 6 km. The site is 58 acres of old plantation: suites and pool villas, Spa Village, a Muay Thai ring if you want it. This is Gulf water. January to September is the easier sea. October to December is the messy end.
Four Seasons Samui is the north-west headland, farther from town. Six Senses Samui sits above Bophut on the hill. The Ritz is the flatter, more family-readable north-coast option. You still need a car to leave.
North Samui: Bophut and Choeng Mon
Fisherman's Village in Bophut is the evening if you want street food and a promenade. Friday walking street is the busy one; other nights are quieter. Choeng Mon is the next bay east, smaller and residential. Chaweng nightlife is a 20 to 30 minute drive and a different noise floor. Nikki Beach is on the south-west Lipa Noi side, a dedicated trip, already named on the island beach-club page.
Boats to Phangan leave from the north-east piers. Do not add a Full Moon unless that is the point of the week. USM can cancel in weather; keep a buffer before a long-haul out of Bangkok.

Common questions
- Is this close enough to walk to Fisherman's Village?
- Plan a short taxi. The resort is its own bay, not the village high street. Walking the dark road is a poor end to a long dinner.
